چکیده

Meloidogyne incognita, the root-knot nematode (RKN), a devastating plant parasitic nematode, causes considerable damage to agricultural crops worldwide. As sedentary root parasite, it alters root’s physiology and influences host’s phytohormonal signaling evade defense. The sustainable management of RKN remains challenging task. Hence, we made an attempt investigate nematicide activity Bacillus velezensis VB7 trigger innate immune response against infection RKN. In vitro assay, B. inhibited hatchability eggs juvenile mortality M. incognita by 87.95% 96.66%, respectively at 96 hrs. application challenged induced MAMP-triggered immunity via expression transcription factors/defense genes several folds pertaining WRKY, LOX, PAL, MYB, PR in comparison those RKN-inoculated healthy control through RT-PCR. Additionally, Cytoscape analysis defense indicated coordinated various other linked response. Thus, current study clearly demonstrated effectiveness as potential inducer responses infestation tomato.

Resistance to root-knot nematode in tomato roots expressing a nematicidal Bacillus thuringiensis crystal protein.

Our laboratory has demonstrated previously that Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) crystal (Cry) proteins present in the Cry5 and Cry6 subclades intoxicate free-living nematodes. In this study, we tested whether the expression of nematicidal Cry6A in transgenic plants provided protection against plant-parasitic nematodes. As bacterial codon usage is incompatible with expression in plants, two differen...

evaluation of antagonistic activity of bacillus spp. in control of tomato root-knot disease

in this research, bacillus strains efficiency were tested to control root knot nematode, meloidogyne javanica .one hundred and fifty strains were isolated from tomato rhizosphere. antagonistic activity of strains on m. javanica was checked in vitro assay. nematicidal ability of bacterial suspension of 1 × 108 cfu/ml was investigated on nematode egg and larvae with three replication using random...

Genome-wide expression profiling of the host response to root-knot nematode infection in Arabidopsis.

During a compatible interaction, root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.) induce the redifferentiation of root cells into multinucleate nematode feeding cells (giant cells). Hyperplasia and hypertrophy of the surrounding cells leads to the formation of a root gall. We investigated the plant response to root-knot nematodes by carrying out a global analysis of gene expression during gall formation ...

The Nematicidal Effect of Camellia Seed Cake on Root-Knot Nematode Meloidogyne javanica of Banana

Suppression of root-knot nematodes is crucially important for maintaining the worldwide development of the banana industry. Growing concerns about human and environmental safety have led to the withdrawal of commonly used nematicides and soil fumigants, thus motivating the development of alternative nematode management strategies. In this study, Meloidogyne javanica was isolated, and the nemati...

Bio-management of root knot nematode and root rot disease by antagonistic fungi and rhizobacteria

Effects of four fungi and six rhizobacteria isolates from the rhizosphere of vegetable crops was studied for suppression of root knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita and wilt fungus, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici on tomato in laboratory and pot culture experiment. All the isolates were isolated by serial dilution and cultured in liquid protein supplemented broth medium and culture filtr...
